Mango KasKas Pudding Recipe

Mango KasKas Pudding is a delicious and healthy dessert that takes very less time to make.

Poppy Seed / Kaskas is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, iron, calcium and zinc. It is rich in Oleic Acid which prevents against Breast Cancer. Also Poppy seeds are used as narcotics for pain related treatments. KasKas seeds expand in water and works well as a thickening agent in smoothies.

Mangoes are great source of vitamin A, C, K, beta-carotene, folate, choline, potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and fiber. Mango is great for the skin as it is loaded with antioxidants. It also fights breast and colon cancers and has vision protecting properties.

Ingredients

  • Ripe mangoes - 2 nos
  • Kaskas / Poppy seed - 5 tbsp
  • Milk - 200 ml
  • Honey - 4 tsp
  • Dates - 2 nos
  • Vanilla essence - 1 tsp

Method

Step 1

Peel and chop the mangoes to small pieces. Add the mango pieces to a blender and blend until smooth paste. Pour the mango puree evenly into 2 glasses or bowls. Keep it in the fridge and set for 10 minutes.

Step 2

Blend the milk and two dates until smooth.

Step 3

Take a medium bowl and whisk together the KasKas seeds, milk mixture, honey and vanilla essence. Let the mixture rest for about 5 minutes to thicken.

Step 4

Pour the KasKas seed mixture on top of the mango puree.

Step 5

Allow to set for at least 2 hours in the fridge or overnight.

Step 6

Yummy Mango KasKas Pudding is ready.

Step 7

Decorate with cherries.
