Mango Ladoo – മാങ്ങ ലടൂ

Mango ladoo / മാങ്ങ ലടൂ is a healthy and yummy ladoo which is very easy to prepare. Mango Ladoo has a nice and mild mango flavor and the coconut gives it a lovely chewyness.

Laddoo is a sweet item, usually round or ball shaped and it is commonly served during festivals and special occassions all over India. Mango laddoos suits quite prefectly for any festival.

I can guess some of you would have surprised to see the name of this laddoos, yes i prepared this cute looking laddoos with mango pulp, coconut flakes, condensed milk and cardamom powder.

With regards to health benefits of Mango, it is one of the delicious seasonal fruit grown in the tropic. Mango fruit is rich in pre-biotic dietary fiber, vitamins, minerals, and poly-phenolic flavonoid antioxidant compounds. Fresh mango is a good source of potassium.

Ingredients

  • Mango - 2
  • Sugar - 4 tsp
  • Grated Coconut - 1 cup
  • Cardamom Powder - a pinch
  • Ghee - 1 tsp
  • Condensed Milk - 4 tsp

Method

Step 1

Take ripe mangoes and wash them well in cold water. Cut ripe mango into small sized pieces. Put the pieces into a food processor or a blender. Blend for about 10 minutes to get a smooth textured puree. Mango puree is ready.

Step 2

Heat a non stick pan and add grated coconut and mango puree. Keep stirring till it dries up.Then add the condensed milk, ghee, cardamom powder, sugar and mix well and cook for 5 mins. Keep it aside to cool slightly.

Step 3

Wet your hands and make small round balls while the mixture is warm.

Step 4

Healthy & Yummy Mango Ladoo is ready. Enjoy!!!
