Healthy and Instant Breakfast Recipe

Oatmeal Pancake / Oats dosa is a healthy and instant breakfast Recipe. It is very simple and quick breakfast. Instead of having hazzle in soaking rice and urdal and then grinding for a long time, occasionally we can try this yummy dosa.

It is very simple. Preparing the batter in the food processor makes it that much easier.

Oatmeal adds texture to a hearty, satisfying pancake. For even more flavor, top with your favorite fruit, sugar syrup, jam or coconut chammanthi.

With regards to Health and Nutrional Benefits of Oatmeal, oat bran and Oatmeal are significant sources of dietary fiber. This fiber contains a mixture of about half soluble and half insoluble fibers. One component of the soluble fibre found in oats is beta-glucans, a soluble fiber which has proven effective in lowering blood cholesterol.

New research has also discovered that the antioxidants found in oats reduce cholesterol by reducing the ability of blood cells to stick to the inside of artery walls. So in other words, eat a cup of oats a day and you’ll be okay!

Ingredients

  • Oats - 1 cup
  • Milk - 3 1/2 cup
  • Egg - 3 nos
  • Maida - 2 cup
  • Sugar - 3 tbsp
  • Melted butter - 1/4 cup
  • Baking Powder - 2 tsp

Method

Step 1

Take a large bowl and add oats and milk. Mix it well and keep it aside for five minutes.

Step 2

Beat the eggs thoroughly.

Step 3

Combine the oats & milk mix with beaten eggs, all purpose flour (maida), sugar, melted butter and baking powder. Stir together to form a batter. Let the batter rest for five minutes.

Step 4

Heat a flat tava/griddle and grease it with a teaspoon of oil. Pour a ladle full of batter and spread it.

Step 5

When the edges begin to look dry, flip the pancake and cook on the other side until it turns golden brown.

Step 6

Oatmeal Pancake is ready. Serve it with your favourite pancake toppings, sugar syrup, jam or coconut chammanthi.
