Orange Chicken

Ingredients
- Chicken - 500 gm (boneless)
- Corn flour - 3/4 cup
- Egg -1 beaten
- Salt to taste
- Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
- Sunflower oil - 4 cup
- Orange juice -1/2 cup
- Ginger - 1/4 tsp minced
- Garlic - 1/4 tsp minced
- Corn flour - 2 tbsp (dissolved in 1 tbsp. water)
- White vinegar - 3 tbsp
- Soy sauce - 2 tsp
- Water - 1 tsp
Method
Step 1
Cut the chicken into large cubes. Transfer the cubes into a bowl and crack the eggs in. Mix until well combined. Make sure the chicken cubes are evenly coated.
Step 2
In a zip lock bag, combine the flour, salt, and pepper. Place the chicken in the bag of ingredients and shake it well. Make sure the chicken is fully coated with the mixture. Set it aside.
Step 3
In another mixing bowl, make the sauce by combining the orange juice, soy sauce, and white vinegar. Stir until well combined. Set it aside.
Step 4
Heat oil in a pan and fry the chicken, for about 9 minutes over medium heat until it is light brown in colour .Set it aside.
Step 5
In the same pan,add garlic and ginger. Saute them until they are fragrant.
Step 6
Add the chicken back in, stir, and fry for a minute or two. Pour the sauce in, and bring it to a boil over medium-high heat.
Step 7
Pour in the diluted cornstarch and stir until the sauce thickens. Once sauce thickens, turn off the heat.
Step 8
Place the chicken on a platter and spoon some sauce over the top. Garnish it with sliced oranges.
Step 9
Serve with rice. Enjoy your orange chicken.
