Ingredients
- Pappadam - 10 nos
- Raw Rice - 1/2 cup
- Red Chilly Powder - 1tsp
- Asafoetida Powder - a pinch
- Turmeric Powder - a pinch
- Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
- Black Sesame Seeds - 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Water - 3/4 cup
- Coconut Oil - 3 cup
Method
Step 1
Wash and clean the rice and soak it in water for 20 minutes.
Step 2
Drain out water and grind the soaked rice along with red chilly powder and turmeric powder into a smooth paste in a mixer adding enough water.
Step 3
Transfer it to a medium sized bowl and add salt, black sesame seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida and mix everything well together.
Step 4
Heat coconut oil in a pan.
Step 5
Dip each pappads in rice batter one by one at a time and deep fry them till it turns to golden colour on both sides.
Step 6
Tasty pappadavada is ready. Enjoy Crispy & Crunchy Pappada Vada with a hot cup of tea!!!
