A Kerala style Beef roast preparation flavored with spices. It has the authentic (naadan) taste of Kerala. Try this out and enjoy the taste of Kerala!
- Beef (Red Meat) - 500 gm cut in to small cubes and washed
- Coconut oil - 100 ml
- Finely chopped Onions - 3
- Ginger Garlic Paste -1 tspn
- Green Chilli - 5 nos
- Red Chilli Powder -2 tspn
- Turmeric Powder -1/2 tspn
- Coriander Powder -1 tspn
- Pepper Powder -1/4 tspn
- Boiled Water -2 cups
- Grated Cardamom, Cinnamon, Clove -1/2 tea spoon
- Coriander leaves
- Curry leaves
- Mint Leaves
- Salt To Taste
Heat oil in a Pressure Cooker. Add onions and saute untile it turns light brown.
Then add green chillies,ginger and garlic paste. Mix everything and saute for 5 minutes.
Add red chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and pepper powder to this and mix well till the raw smell goes off.
Then add beef along with boiled water and salt. Close the lid of the cooker. Cook for 10 - 12 minutes. After two whistles switch off the flame.
After 10 minutes when the steam goes off ,open the lid and check if the meat is cooked well. Keep it again on medium heat and now add grated cardamom, cinnamon, clove to the beef mixture.
Finally season the curry with coriander, mint and curry leaves. Remove from heat. Spicy Beef Roast is ready to serve. Serve hot with plain rice or rotti.
