Ingredients
- Ethakka (Ripe plantains / Ripe banana) - 3 nos
- All purpose flour (Maida) - 1 cup
- Rice flour - 2 tbsp
- Sugar - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt - a pinch
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Coconut oil - 2 cup
Method
Step 1
Peel the plantain and then cut the plantains horizontally into two halves.
Step 2
Take a bowl mix all purpose flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, sugar, salt and then mix it nicely by adding enough water to get a thick batter with a dropping consistency.
Step 3
Heat coconut oil in a pan. Dip the plantain slices in the batter one by one and coat it well.
Step 4
Deep fry it in coconut oil for about 5 minutes or till both sides become light golden colour. Drain oil in a paper towel.
Step 5
Hot & Tasty Pazham Pori is ready to be served along with a cup of tea. Enjoy!!!
