Peri Peri Chicken Recipe – Using Veeba Peri Peri Sauce
Peri Peri Chicken is a tasty, quick and easy to make side dish. Chicken is a lean meat with loads of proteins. However, chicken provides selenium which contains antioxidants that help to control free radicals and improve your immune system. It also aids in weight loss, regulating cholesterol and blood pressure.
Around the world, peri peri is best known as a chilli based sauce used as a seasoning or marinade for meat, especially chicken. It was originated in South Africa and was imported to Portugal from two Portuguese colonies, Angola and Mozambique. The peri peri sauce is traditionally made with a fiery pepper from Africa called ‘Pili’.
Try this delicious recipe at home.
- Chicken - 500 gm
- Veeba peri peri sauce - 5 tsp
- Celery - 2 tsp
- Sunflower oil - 4 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Clean the chicken with water and cut it into thin pieces.
Marinate chicken pieces in Veeba peri peri sauce and set it aside for 2 hours.
Heat oil in a pan and cook the chicken pieces on low flame for 5 minutes. Then cover and cook on medium heat for 10 minutes. Switch off the flame. Add chopped celery into it.
Tasty Chicken Peri Peri is ready to serve.
