Pineapple Pudding Recipe / കൈതച്ചക്ക പുഡ്ഡിങ്
Pineapple pudding is an easy to make and delicious pudding. It is a simple, quick and tasty dessert that can be prepared within 20 minutes.
Pineapple is a storehouse for several unique health promoting compounds, minerals and vitamins that are essential for optimum health. 100 gm fruit provides just about 50 calories equivalent to that of apples. Its flesh contains no saturated fats or cholesterol.
Fresh pineapple is an excellent source of antioxidants and vitamin C. Vitamin C is required for the collagen synthesis in the body. Collagen is the main structural protein in the body required for maintaining the integrity of blood vessels, skin, organs and bones.
Try this yummy pudding at home.
- Pineapple - 1/2 piece ( cut it into small pieces )
- Milk - 500 ml
- Chinagrass - 8 gms
- Sugar - 1 1/2 cup ( 150 gm )
- Milkmaid - 1/2 tin
- Vanilla essence - 1/4 tsp
- Badam - 10 nos ( chopped )
- Water - 50 ml
Heat a pan and add chopped pineapple and 1 cup of sugar. Cook this on a low flame for 10 minutes or cook it until all the water is gone. Keep aside.
Cut the china grass into small pieces. Take a bowl and soak china grass in 50 ml of water for half an hour.
Then boil the china grass in a pan stirring continuously. When boiled, simmer the flame and heat it for another 3 minutes stirring continuously so that the china grass will melt very well.
Heat a pan and add milk and 1/2 cup of sugar. When the milk is boiled, add milkmaid and vanilla essence into it and mix well.
Pour the melted china grass into this boiled milk. Milk should be stirred while pouring the melted china grass. Mix well and switch off the flame.
Pour it into a pudding bowl. Cool till it set.
Now spread cooked pineapple over the pudding before it is set completely.
Spread the chopped badam over the pudding.
Yummy Pineapple Pudding is ready.
