This is a very tasty potato cutlet wrapped in crispy vermicelli (semiya) . It is a simple dish with simple ingredients. The ingredients are cooked vegetables and potato.
Ingredients
- Potato - 250gm
- Carrot - 100gm (chooped)
- Onion - 1 chopped
- Green chilly - 3 chopped
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
- Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
- Vermicelli (semiya) - 50gm
- Salt to taste
- Oil - 50gm
- Coriander leaves - 1 tsp
- Bread crumbs - 100gm
- Egg - 1
Method
Step 1
Boil potato for 5 minutes. Make sure the potatoes are cooked well. Smash it and keep aside.
Step 2
Heat oil in a pan, cook chopped carrot, chopped onion, green chilly and ginger garlic paste for 2 minutes.
Step 3
Now add red chilly powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder and garam masala powder.
Step 4
Add smashed potato and mix well. Add salt, coriander leaves and bread crumbs.
Step 5
Mix everything well over low flame for 2 minutes. Switch off heat. Now make balls out of this potato mixture and for shaping, roll out each ball into an oval shape.
Step 6
Dip each roll in beaten egg. Roll in broken vermicelli.
Step 7
Heat oil in a pan fry the potato till its colour becomes brown.The dish is ready. Enjoy this snack with tomato ketchup.
