Soya Kabab Balls Recipe – Ramadan Healthy Snack – Vegetarian Recipe

As we all know, soya has high nutritional content. It is an excellent alternative of meat. It is a protein rich food item which tastes similar like meat but, 100 % vegetarian. It contains carbohydrates, calcium, iron etc.

Ingredients

  • To cook soya:
  • Soya - 1 cup soaked in hot water for 1/2 an hour
  • Soya milk - 1/2 cup
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper powder - 3 pinch
  • Turmeric powder - 2 pinch
  • For making Kabab:
  • Onion - 1/2 cup finely chopped
  • Potato - 1/2 cup boiled and mashed
  • Green chilli - 2 nos
  • Red chilli powder - 1/4 tbsp
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Cumin powder - 1/4 tbsp
  • Fennel seed powder - 1/4 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup
  • Salt - To taste
  • Oil for frying Rice powder - 3 tbs

Method

Step 1

Pressure cook soya with soya milk, pepper, turmeric powder and salt. Only one whistle is required.

Step 2

Grind the soya to fine paste and keep aside.

Step 3

In a thick bottomed pan, add 1 table spoon of oil and saute onions followed by all other items listed in the ingredients for making kabab.

Step 4

Add soya paste to kabab mix and mix well.

Step 5

Make desired shape of kabab and deep fry in oil.

Step 6

Now you have delicious soya kababs ready to serve. Serve hot with tomato sauce or green chutney.
