Here is a spicy Drumstick recipe!!! If you want to make a quick curry and if you have this wonderful vegetable in your kitchen basket then don’t think more, take it out and prepare this simple spicy curry. If you love this vegetable then you are going to love this simple recipe too.
Drumsticks is cooked solo or mixed with other veggies. In both ways it is delicious and has nutriional and medicinal value.
Ingredients
- Drumstick (Muringaa Kaya) - 6 nos
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tspn
- Salt
- Shallots (Chariya Ulli) - 8 finely crushed
- Red chilly flakes - 1 tspn (or Red chilly powder - 1 tspn)
Method
Step 1
Peel and cut the drumsticks. Cook the drumsticks adding enough water, salt and turmeric powder. Make sure that it is cooked well.
Step 2
Heat oil in a pan. Add crushed shallots, saute it and wait till it turns light brown
Step 3
Then add red chilly flakes or red chilly powder and saute. Adding Red chilly flakes gives more taste to the curry.
Step 4
When the raw smell of Red chilies goes off, add the cooked drumsticks and mix everything well. Take care not to mash the drumsticks. Remove from fire. Your curry is ready!!
