Ingredients
Take a bowl and add roasted semolina, maida, vegetable oil, cumin seeds, sesame seeds, salt and mix well. Knead into a smooth soft dough using enough water and keep aside for 5 minutes. Divide the dough into 2 equal parts. Roll the dough into round shapes and using a knife cut them into stripes. Heat coconut oil in a pan and deep fry the sticks. They are ready when they turn brown colour and stop sizzling. Drain the excess oil using a tissue paper. Add lemon juice and mix well. Reduce the flame and allow it to get into one thread consistency. Switch off the flame. Allow it to cool for some time. Prepare sugar syrup: heat sugar with 1/2 cup of water. Let it boil till sugar melts. Put all the fried sticks together into the sugar syrup and mix well till each of them are coated with the syrup. Tasty and crunchy stick or vadi is ready.Method
