Stir Fried Carrot And Beans In Grated Coconut – Carrot Beans Thoran – Kerala Style Thoran
Carrot and Beans Thoran is a nutritious vegetarian dish which is so easy to make. Carrots are rich in anti-oxidants, vitamins and dietary fiber. They are exceptionally rich source of carotenes and vitamin-A. Beans Green beans, also know as french beans or snap beans.
Ingredients
- Carrot chopped - 200 gm
- Beans chopped - 100 gm
- Green chillies chopped - 4 nos
- Red chillies chopped - 3 nos
- Shallots chopped - 5 nos
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Mustard seed - 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves - 2 string
- Coconut oil - 3 tsp
- Water 2 tsp
- Salt to taste
Method
Step 1
Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, curry leaves, coconut grated, chopped green chillies, red chillies, chopped shallots and fry for 2 minutes.
Step 2
Add chopped beans, carrots, turmeric powder and salt.
Step 3
Then sprinkle 2 tbspn of water. Cover and cook it on low flame for 5 minutes. Carrot and beans thoran is ready .
