Ingredients
- Beef - 500 gm
- Red chilly powder - 2 tbsp
- Coriander powder - 1 1/2 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste - 2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Fennel powder - 1 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves - 2 twigs
- Coconut oil - 5 tsp
- Garam masala - 1 tsp
- Water - 1 cup
- Green chilly - 3 nos (chopped)
- Salt to taste
Method
Step 1
Cut and clean the beef into small pieces.
Step 2
In a pressure cooker, mix the beef with 1 tsp of red chilly powder, 1 1/2 tsp of coriander powder, 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of fennel powder, 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste, 1/2 tsp of garam masala, salt and water.
Step 3
Pressure cook the marinated beef for 5 minutes or for 3 whistles. Once the pressure is gone, open the pressure cooker and take one cup of beef stock from it.
Step 4
Heat another pan and pour the stock to it. Add 1 tsp red chilly powder, 1 tsp pepper powder and 1 tsp ginger garlic paste to the stock and let it boil.
Step 5
Add the cooked beef to this boiling stock and mix well and cook for 5 minutes. When the beef is almost dry, add the garam masala and mix well. Turn off the heat.
Step 6
Heat coconut oil in a pan and when the oil is hot, fry the beef, chopped green chillies and curry leaves.
Step 7
Tasty Thattukada Beef Fry is ready to be served. Enjoy!!!
