Ingredients
Remove couple of dull petals of vaazha koombu or remove the florets till you see soft and pale colored edible part inside. Chop the vaazha koomb and wash well with water to remove stains and squeeze out any excess water. Mix vaazha koombu with 1 tsp coconut oil, turmeric powder and salt. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds, Kerala red rice, dry red chilies and curry leaves. Add chopped vaazha koombu and grated coconut. Mix well and adjust salt. Cover and cook in a low flame for 10 minutes. Remove the lid and stir well. Cook until the mixture is dry. Tasty vaazha koombu thoran is ready.Method
