Ingredients
- Beef - 500 gm
- Red chilly powder - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Coriander powder - 2 tbsp
- Ginger - 1 tbsp ( crushed )
- Garlic - 1/2 tsp ( crushed )
- Green chilly - 4 nos
- Onion - 2 nos ( chopped )
- Curry leaves - 2 Spring
- Coconut oil - 5 tbsp
- Coriander leaves - 4 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Method
Step 1
Clean and cut the beef into small pieces.
Step 2
Take a bowl and marinate beef with coriander powder, chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt. Keep it for 1 hour.
Step 3
Heat a pressure cooker and add marinated beef and cook for about 4 whistles until it is cooked. Do not add water as the beef contains enough water to cook the beef.
Step 4
Once the cooker has cooled down, open it and cook on a medium flame till all the water has evaporated and the beef is nicely coated with the gravy.
Step 5
Heat 4 tbsp of coconut oil in a pan. Transfer the cooked beef into it and fry well. Remove the beef to a plate.
Step 6
In the same pan, add 1 tbsp of oil and fry the chopped onion, ginger, garlic and curry leaves. Saute till the onion turns light brown and the raw smell goes.
Step 7
Transfer fried beef into it and add lemon juice. Saute well for 5 minutes on a medium flame.
Step 8
Finally add coriander leaves into it and mix well. Switch off the flame.
Step 9
Tasty Beef Chukka is ready.
