Being creative with Burji, I have made healthy, easy and simple recipe – Cabbage egg burji.
Cabbage egg burji can be considered as Atkins Diet Recipe in Indian style. To add an Indian flavor, I have added mustard seeds, coriander powder, turmeric powder and fennel seed powder. To make the dish little spicy, I have added some red chilly powder also.
Ingredients
- Olive oil - 1/4 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 2 pinch
- Onion - 1 Chopped
- Grated cabbage - 2 Cups
- Eggs - 2 beaten with salt to taste
- Coriander powder - 1/4 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 3 Pinch
- Fennel seed powder - 3 Pinch
- Salt to taste
Method
Step 1
Heat a pan and add oil. Platter the mustard seeds.
Step 2
Suate onion and add cabbage to this followed by coriander powder, turmeric powder, fennel seed powder and red chilly powder.
Step 3
Once the cabbage is cooked for a minute add beaten egg and scramble well until the egg is cooked to required consistency. (We prefer half cooked crispy cabbage and well done eggs)
Step 4
Add salt as per your taste.
Step 5
Stir well and serve hot Cabbage egg burji with boiled vegetables or green salad.
