Cabbage Vada recipe – Tasty and crispy snack

Cabbage Vada is a tasty tea time snack.  This crsipy vada goes well with hot tea and tastes awesome on a cold rainy evening. This vada is rich in nutrients.

Ingredients

  • Cabbage - 250 gm (chopped)
  • Carrot - 50 gm (chopped)
  • Onion - 1 no (chopped)
  • Curry leaves - 1 string
  • Coriander leaves - 1 tsp
  • Maida - 2 tsp
  • Corn flour - 2 tsp
  • Semolina/Rava - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Water - 4 tsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Baking powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Oil - 4 cup
  • Red chilly powder - 1 tsp

Method

Step 1

Clean and chop cabbage, carrot, and onion.

Step 2

Take a bowl add maida, cornflour, rava, red chilly powder, chopped onion, cabbage, carrot, curry leaves, coriander powder, salt, baking powder, garam masala powder and water. Mix them well to make the vada batter. Keep aside for 10 minutes

Step 3

Make small balls out of this batter.

Step 4

Heat oil in a pan and fry these balls for 5 minutes. Tasty Cabbage Vada is ready. Serve Cabbage Vada with tomato sauce.
