Dry Red Chilly Chammanthi / Chutney has its own distinct aroma and taste. Adding Chicken to this Chammanthi makes it more delicious, spicy and unique!!
Ingredients
- Grated coconut - 1 cup
- Shallots - 5 nos
- Ginger - 1 piece
- Dry red chillies - 6 nos
- Curry leaves - 1 spring
- salt to taste
- Chicken pieces - 250 gm
- Dry red chilly - 2 nos
- Green chilly - 2 nos
- Shallots - 3 nos
- Cumin seed - 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Red chilly powder - !/2 tsp
- Lemon juice - 1/2 tsp
- Water - 1 cup
- salt to taste
- coconut oil - 4 tsp
Method
Step 1
Firstly we prepare coconut chammanthi. For that heat a pan add 2 tsp of coconut oil .
Step 2
Add grated coconut, 5 red chillies and 5 shallots.Fry this into golden brown.
Step 3
Grind this with 1 piece of ginger, curry leaves and salt. Chammanthi is ready.
Step 4
Secondly heat a pan add 2 tsp of coconut oil add cumin seeds, 2 red chillies, 2 green chillies and 3 sliced shallots.
Step 5
Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, sliced chicken pieces, salt and water and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 6
After 5 minutes add chammanthi into the chicken and cook for 2 minutes. Lastly add lemon juice. Spicy chammanthi chicken fry is ready to be served.
