Chicken Tikka Masala recipe | Easy Chicken recipe

Chicken Tikka Masala is a thick, creamy orange color gravy with spicy fried chicken cooked in the gravy.

This is typical North Indian authentic dish famous in mughlai cuisine.

Usually chicken is grilled after marinating with tikka masala. This is called as chicken tikka. Here, this recipe is the gravy version of the same marinated one.

The dish can be made more spicy by adding more Chilli as per your taste.

Chicken Tikka Masala recipe | Easy chicken recipe

Ingredients

  • 250 gms marinated chicken pieces with chicken tikka masala ( I used Shan Chicken Tikka Masala )
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 4 tbsp tomato puree
  • 4 green Chilli
  • 2 bell pepper (I used red & green color bell pepper each)
  • 2 tbsp soya sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp fennel seed powder
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp Kashmiri chili powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tbsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tbsp chicken tikka masala
  • 1 chicken cube dissolved in 1/4 glass hot water.
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • Salt to taste
  • For seasoning 2 tbsp Fresh cream ( Nestle )

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan and shallow fry chicken pieces. Keep the fried chicken aside.

Step 2

In same oil, saute onion followed by ginger garlic paste.

Step 3

Add tomato puree & green Chilli. Stir well for 5 minutes. Allow tomato purée to cook.

Step 4

Add fennel seeds, turmeric powder, Chilli powder, coriander powder and chicken tikka masala to above mixture. Mix well & allow to cook for another 2 minutes.

Step 5

Then add chicken stock dissolved in water to above gravy to make the tikka masala gravy little watery. Add more water if you like more gravy.

Step 6

Once the above mixture is mixed well add bell pepper and fried chicken. Stir well & allow gravy to cook for 5 to 10 minutes in low flame.

Step 7

Once the gravy thicken to become your desired consistency, switch off flame and add some fresh cream on top of chicken tikka masala.

Step 8

Stir well & serve spicy chicken tikka masala with chapati, paratha, appam or plain rice. Enjoy!!!
