Curd rice recipe | Healthy vegetarian recipe
Ingredients
- Basmati rice - 1 cup
- Curd - 1 cup
- Water - 2 cup
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves - 5 nos
- Dry red chillies - 3 nos
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves - few
- Vegetable oil - 3 tsp
Method
Step 1
Clean and soak the basmati rice in water for 10 minutes and drain the excess water.
Step 2
Take a pressure cooker then add 2 cup of water and boil for 5 minutes. Add 1 cup of raw rice, salt and mix well. Cook it for about 10 minutes and keep aside to cool.
Step 3
Take a bowl then add some salt to the curd and mix well. Now add this curd to the boiled rice and stir well.
Step 4
Heat vegetable oil in a small pan then add mustard seeds, curry leaves and dry red chillies. Fry for a minute.
Step 5
Add this mix to the rice and mix well.
Step 6
Tasty Curd Rice is ready. Serve it with pickle.
