Calamari Fry – Squid Fry Recipe – Koonthal fish fry
Calamari is other wise called as Squid which can be called as cousin of Octopus. Calamari Fry or Koonthal fish fry is a popular appetizer. It is so delicious and crispy. It is very easy to make and nutritious too. It is rich in calcium and phosphorous. Hence very good for kids.
Ingredients
Cook all the ingredients together in a pressure cooker with 1/4 cup water on high flame. When the first whistle comes switch of the flame. After 10 minutes open the cooker and evaporate all the water. In a thick bottom pan, heat oil and fry the calamari adding some curry leaves. Do not over cook. Once golden brown, drain to a tissue paper and serve hot. Important Tip - close the pan while frying. Else there are chances of calamari getting blasted and oil will spill on to your body.Method
