Tasty and nutritious Kozhuva/Anchovies fish in hot and spicy red chilly fish masala ( Meen mulakittathu ). An easy fish curry which anyone can make.
Ingredients
- Cleaned Anchovies Fish (Kozhuva) - 500 gm
- Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder - 2 tea spoon
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tea spoon
- Gambooge - 3 pieces
- Coconut Oil - 2 tea spoon
- Green Chilli - 5 nos
- Sliced Ginger -10 gm
- Boiled Water - 2 cups
- Curry Leaves
- Salt to taste
Method
Step 1
Take a Kal Chatti and mix Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Green Chilli, Ginger, Gambooge, Salt and Curry Leaves in 2 cups of boiled water. Mix well and allow it to boil for 7 minutes.
Step 2
Then add the Anchovies fish to the boiling curry and allow to boil again for 5 minutes (close the lid of the chatti) so that the the fish gets cooked and the gravy become dark red.
Step 3
Switch off the flame and season with coconut oil on top. Spicy Mulakitta Kozhuva curry is ready to be served.

Hi…..it is a good curry to have with rice, but too hot. Erinjittu vayya….kurachu vellam thayooo…….Please provide a bucket of water with this curry. However, it is very tasty…..
