Khoya Burfi is a tasty sweet item popular in South Asian countries. ย Khoya or khoa is a milk cheese, made either from milk powder or traditionally by reducing whole milk in a pot for long hours.

Ingredients
Bring the milk to boil in the deep non stick pan. Reduce the flame to between low to medium and continue to heat the milk. Stir occasionally in regular intervals until the milk completely thickens to form the khoya. This will take approximately 2 hours and after that khoya is ready. Take khoya and sugar in a heavy bottomed non stick pan. Mix in medium flame until sugar dissolves. Add cardamom powder, food colour, chopped pistachios and continue mixing in medium-low flame for 8 minutes. Switch off the flame. Grease a pan and pour the mixture in a greased plate. Level it with a greased butter paper or any other flat thing. Allow it to cool and cut in to equal pieces. Tasty Khoya Burfi is ready.Method
