Mulaku Bajji മുളക് ബജി / Chilli Baji is yet another snack which is tasty and easy to prepare. Chilli Baji is all time favorite for my entire family for Iftar.

Ingredients

  • Bajji Chilli - 5 nos
  • Gram Flour (Kadala Mavu) - 1/4 cup
  • Ginger - 1/4 tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Black Pepper Powder - 1/4 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder - 4 pinch
  • Water as required
  • Salt to taste
  • Coconut Oil - for frying

Method

Step 1

Mix all the ingredients excluding chilli to make a very thick batter with required amount of water. The batter should be thicker than the Dosa batter.

Step 2

Keep the chilly immersed in salty water for some time (Approx. 10 minutes ). This step is optional.

Step 3

Heat coconut oil in a deep frying pan.

Step 4

Dip each chilli in the batter and fry it in the hot oil. Tasty Mulaku Bajji മുളക് ബജി / Chilli Baji is ready to serve.
