Pepper Chicken Recipe – Spicy Chicken Recipe

This is a very simple chickenĀ recipe made with only pepper & fennel seeds as masala. However the recipe tastes super tasty.
In additions I have add some homemade tomatos puri, belll pepper (capsicum) & fresh green Pepper cones crushed instead of blackpepper. Please note that I have added lot of fennel seeds (crused) along with green pepper to get the delicious flavor.

Ingredients

  • Boneless chicken cut into cubes - 250 gms
  • Corn flour - 3 tbsp
  • Onion Chopped to cubes - 1 big
  • Red bell pepper (Capsicum) Chopped to cubes- 1 big
  • Ginger crushed - 2 tbsp
  • Garlic crushed - 2 tbsp
  • Fennel seeds crushed - 1 tbsp
  • Green pepper cones crushed - 2 thsp
  • Soy sauce - 2 tbsp
  • Tomato Puri - 1/2 tomato
  • Oil - 5 tbsp
  • Salt for taste

Method

Step 1

Marinate the chicken with corn flour (or rice flour), 1 tbsp soya sauce and salt.

Step 2

Then pan fry this chicken and keep it aside.

Step 3

In same pan add chopped onions, ginger paste, garlic paste and saute for few minutes.

Step 4

Then add crushed pepper and crushed fennel seeds. Saute for another 30 seconds so that the fennel seeds and pepper is slightly fried.

Step 5

Then add fried chicken, soya sauce & tomato puri. Close the pan with a lid and cook for 5 minutes on a high flame.

Step 6

After 5 minutes add red bell pepper, mix well and allow the gravy to thicken. For that keep the gravy cook for 5 minutes with lid open. (If extra water is left and you want dry pepper chicken. If you want with gravy skip this step)

Step 7

Final step is to garnish with spring onions.
Note: Here we are using only pepper nd fennels so use a lot of then to get a good flavor. Increase the amount as per your taste
