Ingredients
Chop the pineapple into small pieces. Heat a pan and add 1 cup of water, sugar, pineapple and cook for 5 minutes. When the pineapple is cooked, add 2 tsp of ghee and mash it with a spoon. Cook the chowari (sago seeds) in 2 cups of water. Add the cooked chowari to the cooked pineapple mixture. Add thin coconut milk to it and bring it to boil. When it starts boiling, add the condensed milk, thick coconut milk and heat it for 2 minutes. Turn off the flame and add the cardamom powder to it and mix well. Heat 1 tsp of ghee in a pan and fry the cashew nuts and raisins. Garnish the payasam with roasted cashew nuts and raisins. Delicious Pineapple Payasam / പൈനാപ്പിള് പായസം is ready. Enjoy!!!Method
