Here, I am sharing a typical Kerala dish prepared with prawnsĀ that can be made with less ingredients and less time.Ā This goes well with rice as side dish.

Ingredients
- Prawns - 1/2 kg
- Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1/8 tsp
- Onions - 1 no
- Ginger - 1 tsp
- Garlic - 24 flakes
- Gambooge - as required
- Curry leaves - 1 string
- Salt - as required
- For seasoning:
- Coconut oil - 1tbsp
- Mustard - 1 tsp
- Onion - 1 no
- Curry leaves - 1 string
Method
Step 1
Clean and wash the prawns thoroughly.
Step 2
Mix red chilly powder, coriander powder, pepper powder, onions, ginger, garlic, curry leaves, gambooge and salt with prawns. Add sufficient water and cook till the prawns are soft, but not broken. Allow water to be absorbed by prawns. When curry is almost dry and prawns covered with masala, remove from fire.
Step 3
Heat a pan with oil and mustard. When it splutters, add onions, curry leaves and saute well till the raw smell of onion goes off. Add prawn mixture into it and saute till it is well seasoned. Remove from fire.
Step 4
Tasty Prawn Stir Fry is ready to be served.
