As we all know that the Malabar is the granary of snacks which is very tasty and delicious. Pulivaral Recipe / പുളിവാറൽ is one of such traditional Malabar snack recipe. It can be served as iftar snack or evening snack.
It got the name as it looks like tamarind (puli in malayalam) but doesn’t have any resemblance in taste. It is a sweet snack item made with ripe banana, rice flour and jaggery. It is an excellent snack recipe.

Ingredients
Heat 1 cup of water and jaggery in a pan and stir well till it melts. Strain the jaggery water using a strainer to remove the impurities. Take a bowl, add all purpose flour, rice flour, banana, melted jaggery, cardamom powder, baking soda, salt and make a thick batter. Heat coconut oil in a pan at a medium high flame. Take hand full of batter and pour it in hot oil in the shape of a tamarind. Deep fry till it turns brown color. Tasty pulivaral is ready. Serve hot.Method
