Ingredients

  • Milk - 1 Liter
  • Sugar - 2 Cups
  • Lemon juice - 3 tbsp
  • Water - 3 cups
  • Rose essence - a few drops

Method

Step 1

To make Rasgulla first we have to make paneer as per the steps given below: Preparation of paneer: Take a vessel and pour 1 liter of milk. Allow it to boil then add 2 tbsp of lemon juice to it and mix until the milk curdles.

Step 2

Keep stirring and then add the remaining lemon juice. Then continue the process of stirring until when it completely separates. Now the paneer is ready.

Step 3

Swítch off the heat and straín the paneer ín a cheese cloth.

Step 4

Wash the paneer with fresh water to clear away the sourness of the lemon.

Step 5

Bring the edges of the cloth up and tie it together. Squeeze the excess water and hang the cloth above the sink for 30 minutes.

Step 6

Knead the paneer to make a smooth dough. Kneading the paneer is very essential to make this sweet paneer soft and spongy. So knead it for 10 minutes.

Step 7

Divide the paneer dough in to equal size small portions and shape each portion in to a smooth round ball.

Step 8

Now we can make the sweet Rasgullas: Take a wide vessel, add the sugar and water then allow the sugar to melt.

Step 9

Now reduce the heat to medium flame and add the small round balls of dough carefully.

Step 10

Cover with a lid and cook for 10 minutes. Open the lid occasíonally .

Step 11

Then switch off the flame and let it cool completely.

Step 12

Refrígerate it and serve chilled.

Step 13

Tasty Rasgulla is ready.
