Raw Mango Pickle is a super spicy, tangy and simple pickle. It goes well with cooked rice. Mango pickle is an extremely well-liked complement in the Indian Delicacies. Generally made during the summer season with lots of spices and mango pieces. During the Mango season all are busy making the Mango pickle in different styles from different states.
Raw mangoes are highly nutritious, excellent source of Vitamin C, beneficial in strengthening immune system & are are also good source of Vit-B, which helps in maintaining good health.
Try this easy pickle recipe at your kitchen!
- Raw mango - 500 gm
- Green chilly - 5 nos ( chopped )
- Ginger - 2 piece ( chopped )
- Garlic - 5 cloves ( chopped )
- Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves - a few
- Eastern pickle powder - 5 tsp
- Gingelly oil - 5 tsp
- Vinegar - 3 tsp
- Salt to taste
Wash and chop the mango into small pieces.
Take a bowl and add chopped mango pieces, eastern pickle powder, salt and mix well. Keep this aside for 10 minutes.
Heat a pan add gingelly oil and add mustard seeds. When it splutter add curry leaves, chopped green chilly, chopped garlic, chopped ginger and saute for 3 minutes.
Now add the mango pieces and mix well. Switch off the flame.
Add vinegar and mix well.
Yummy Raw Mango Pickle is ready.
