Red Cabbage Detox Saladย is a simple and healthy salad that can be easily prepared within minutes at home.

Salad is a cold dish of various mixtures of raw or cooked vegetables usually seasoned with oil, vinegar or other dressing.ย The vibrant purple color cabbage mixed with green parsley and onions is a feast for the eyes withย the zesty lemon flavor.ย Detoxification or detox is the process of removing toxic substances from the body.

Purple cabbage has a relatively high ratio of nutrients and vitamins which makes it an ideal choice for dieters. Red cabbage has 10 times more vitamin A than green cabbage. Both types of cabbage contain vitamin A in the form of Beta-carotene, which is an antioxidant that can keep your skin and immune system healthy.

Ingredients

  • Red cabbage ( purple cabbage ) - 250 gm
  • Parsley leaf ( coriander leaves ) - 2 bunches ( finely chopped )
  • Spring onion - 3 tbsp ( white and green parts finely chopped )
  • Olive oil - 50 ml
  • Lemon juice - 2 tbsp
  • Black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste

Method

Step 1

Wash and chop red cabbage into small pieces.

Step 2

Add the chopped red cabbage, parsley leaf and spring onion along with olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper into a large salad mixing bowl.

Step 3

Stir well and keep aside for 10 minutes.

Step 4

Tasty Red Cabbage Detox Salad is ready.
