Shredded chicken can be put to many uses. It may either be served as a filling for burritos, tacos and empanadas or it can be one of the ingredients of a soup. It may also be used in some other Mexican dishes or it may be used as a topping.
You can add them to sandwiches, burgers, pastas, hotdogs and so on.
Ingredients
- Chicken - 500 gm (boneless)
- Onion - 1 (chopped)
- Tomato - 1 (chopped)
- Garlic garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
- Green chillies - 3 (chopped)
- Coriander leaves - 1 tsp
- Water - 2 cup
- Salt to taste
- Coconut oil - 4 tsp
- Black pepper powder - 1 tsp
Method
Step 1
Cook the chicken pieces for 20 minutes on high in the pressure cooker in about 2 cup of water, black pepper powder and salt. Set aside to cool. Shred the chicken with a fork.
Step 2
Heat a pan add coconut oil chopped onions and saute for 3 minutes. When it turns pink in color add the ginger garlic paste,chopped green chillies and mix well.
Step 3
Now add the red chilly powder,turmeric powder, and garam masala powder and sauté well. Now add chopped tomatoes and saute well.
Step 4
Now add shredded chicken, Coriander leaves and mix well till it is crispy and dry.
Step 5
Spicy shredded chicken is ready to be served.
