You will need only a very few ingredients for making thari unda which are readily available at home. You have to use roasted semolina for making thari unda, which is available at market. Or else you will have to slightly roast the semolina for best results.

Ingredients

  • Semolina - 1 1/2 cup
  • Sugar - 2 1/4 tbsp
  • Egg - 1 no
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Vegetable oil - 2 cups

Method

Step 1

Take a bowl. Add semolina, sugar, egg, cardamom powder, salt and mix well. Make thick dough.

Step 2

Heat vegetable oil in a pan.

Step 3

Take small portion of dough and shape into medium sized balls. Deep fry the semolina balls in hot oil until it turns golden brown color.

Step 4

Place the balls on a paper towel to drain the excess oil.

Step 5

Tasty Thari unda is ready.
