Ingredients
- For dough: - Maida - 300 gm
- Water - 100 ml
- Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- For filling : - Chicken pieces - 250 gm
- Onion - 2 nos (chopped)
- Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
- Green chilies - 2 nos
- Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1 tsp
- Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves - few (chopped)
- Coriander leaves - few (chopped)
- Water - 50 ml
- Eggs - 2 nos
- Ghee - 3 tbsp
- Vegetable oil - 2 cup ( 200 ml )
- Salt to taste
Method
Step 1
Clean and wash chicken well. Heat a pressure cooker and add the chicken pieces along with 1/2 teaspoon chilly powder, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 50 ml of water and salt. Cook for 2 whistle.
Step 2
Once the chicken is done, switch off the flame and let it cool. Shred the chicken and keep aside.
Step 3
Heat 3 tbsp of ghee in a frying pan and add chopped onion into it and saute well until onion become light brown.
Step 4
Then add ginger garlic paste and chopped green chilly into it. Saute well until raw smell goes.
Step 5
Then add pepper powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder to it. Saute for a minute or until the raw smell goes.
Step 6
Then add boiled and shredded chicken into it and saute until the chicken become dry and well mixed with the onion masala.
Step 7
Add garam masala, curry leaves, coriander leaves, salt and mix well. Switch off the flame and keep masala aside.
Step 8
Boil the eggs and slice it into 2 pieces. Keep it aside.
Step 9
Take a bowl and add maida, salt, oil, water and knead well to make a soft dough. By using this dough, make small sized balls ( lemon sized ).
Step 10
Roll this balls in the shape of chapatis.
Step 11
Place 1 tbsp chicken masala at the center and half of a boiled egg on top. Shape it to round by bringing the edges together and pinching the center.
Step 12
Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry the Turkey pathiri until golden brown. Switch off the flame. Drain the excess oil with a tissue paper.
Step 13
Yummy Turkey Pathiri is ready.
