Wheat dosa with oats recipe | Gothambu dosa | ഗോതമ്പ് ദോശ recipe

Wheat Dosa with oats or Gothambu Dosa is a simple, fast & easy recipe for breakfast as well as dinner.

The easy part is that you don’t need to keep the batter overnight to cook Wheat Dosa with oats or Gothambu Dosa (ഗോതമ്പ് ദോശ). As soon as the batter is made, immediately you can make tasty Dosa.

I have added 1/2 cup oats powder. Adding oats is optional. However adding oats in this dosa will make the dosa soft and more nutritious as oats have lot of fiber content.


Like wise, adding ghee is also optional. But adds flavor & taste. I have used Desi Milma Ghee.

Ingredients

  • Wheat powder - 1 and 1/2 cup
  • Oats powder - 1/2 cup (optional)
  • Onion - 1 /2 cup finely chopped
  • Green Chilli - 3 nos chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Warm water - 1 cup (add more if required)
  • Ghee - for seasoning (Optional)

Method

Step 1

First we have to make batter. To make the batter mix all the ingredients except ghee. Add water & stir well to make thick Dosa batter.

Step 2

Heat non-stick pan and pour Dosa batter and spread immediately to round shape.

Step 3

Add some ghee on top to garnish. This is a optional step. But adding ghee on top adds a special flavor and taste to the Dosa.

Step 4

When one side is cooked flip to other side & cook for 10 seconds.

Step 5

Now your delicious wheat Dosa with oats is ready to serve hot.

Step 6

Enjoy your breakfast with wheat Dosa and tomato curry (thakkali curry).
