Ingredients
- Carrot - 2 medium size ( grated )
- Cabbage - small size ( finely shredded )
- Shallots - 6 ( chopped )
- Garlic - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves -a few
- Musttard - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Coconut oil - 2 tsp
- Green chilly - 2 nos
- Salt to taste
Method
Step 1
Wash carrot and cabbage thoroughly and chop them finely.
Step 2
Heat a pan with oil, splutter mustard seeds and add shallots, green chillies, curry leaves and garlic. Saute until they start to change color. Add turmeric powder and saut for a while.
Step 3
Add chopped cabbage and carrot into it. Sprinkle salt and mix well.
Step 4
Cover, reduce heat and cook until vegetables are tender.
Step 5
Tasty carrot cabbage mezhukkupuratti is ready to serve with hot rice.
