Indo-Chinese Crab Soup is a yummy and healthy dish. For an added taste I have used Arrow root powder instead of corn flour to make the soup thick.

Crab is a natural resource of Omega-3, vitamin A, C and B12. At the same time very low in fat and rich in minerals and protein. Hence eating crab helps to improve memory, decrease the chances of having a heart attack, decrease risk of cancer, and possibly help to improve depression and anxiety. Moreover Arrowroot is very useful for digestion and used by people having dietary restriction as a medicine. It’s very healthy for kids also.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium size Crab (250 Grams) cleaned and boiled in plain water.
  • 6 cup Water
  • 2 Vegetable Stock
  • 1/4 tbsp Ginger & Garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp Chopped shallots
  • 2 tbsp Arrow Root Powder dissolved in 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp Soya sauce
  • 2 Eggs beaten by mixing adequate salt
  • Salt to taste

Method

Step 1

Boil crab in water for 15 minutes, drain and allow to cool. Take meat by separating from cartilage. Keep it aside.

Step 2

Boil vegetable stock, ginger & garlic paste and chopped shallots in 6 glass of water for 15 minutes.

Step 3

Then add arrow root powder dissolved in 1/2 cup water and mix well. In low flame, continuously stir for 5 minutes.

Step 4

Then add beaten egg slowly into above solution with one hand. With other hand keep stirring the soup.

Step 5

Once the egg is cooked, add soya sauce and stir well.

Step 6

Adjust salt and serve hot. It's yummy!!!!
