Ingredients
- Drumstick flowers - 2 cup
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Grated coconut - 1 cup
- Cumin seed - 1/4 tsp
- Green chilly - 3 nos
- Shallots - 4 nos
- Dry red chilly - 4 nos
- Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves - a few
- Water - 50 ml
- Coconut oil - 3 tsp
- Salt to taste
Method
Step 1
Separate the drumstick flowers from stalks. Place them in a bowl of turmeric water. Drain after 15 minutes.
Step 2
Grind grated coconut, sliced shallots and cumin seeds to a coarse mixture.
Step 3
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and splutter mustard seeds. Add the dry red chilly and curry leaves.
Step 4
Add the drum stick flowers and salt. Sprinkle little water and cook covered for about 5 minutes. Now open the lid and add the coconut mixture. Cook covered for another 3 minutes.
Step 5
Open the lid and cook for another 3 minutes or until it is dry. Switch off the flame.
Step 6
