Eggs, as we all know is the healthiest and nutritious food and moong dal (green gram / Cherupayar /ą“šąµ†ą“±ąµą“Ŗą“Æąµ¼) is an integral part of the Indian diet. Moong dal is a good source of proteins and a good option for those who want to reduce their weight. Eggs hasĀ high quality protein and a large variety of essential nutrients, with the exception of vitamin C and it does not increase blood cholesterol. I have tried to combine the richness and goodness of these two in a single dish.

Ingredients

  • Ingredients to make the wrap:
  • Egg - 4 nos
  • Pepper powder - 4 pinch
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ingredients to make the filling:
  • Green Gram (Moong Dal / Cherupayar / ą“šąµ†ą“±ąµą“Ŗą“Æąµ¼) - 1/2 cup well cooked
  • Shallots - 2 tbsp chopped
  • Red chilli powder - 3 pinch
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method

Step 1

First we will make the filling. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the shallots.

Step 2

Add red chilli powder and cooked dal to fried shallots.

Step 3

Add salt to taste and keep the filling aside.

Step 4

Beat eggs in a bowl by adding pepper powder and salt as per taste.

Step 5

Heat a pan. Pour 1 tbsp oil and make 2 omelettes.

Step 6

Place the 1/2 portion of dal filing on top of the omelette and wrap it. Like this make 2 wraps.

Step 7

Now our omelette wrap with moong dal stir fry is ready to serve.
