Ingredients
- Chana dal (split bengal gram) - 1 cup
- Onion - 1 (chopped)
- Ginger - 1 tbs (chopped)
- Green chillies - 3 nos (chopped)
- Curry leaves - 2 stems (chopped)
- Salt to taste
- Coconut oil - 3 cup
Method
Step 1
Soak chana dal in water for 2 hours. Drain the chana dal.
Step 2
Make a coarse paste of dal in a food processor or mixie. The dal should be crushed and should not be made into a smooth paste.
Step 3
Transfer it into a bowl and add finely chopped onion, green chillies, curry leaves, salt and mix well.
Step 4
Make equal sized ball out of it and flatten the balls a little bit by pressing them in-between the palms.
Step 5
Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the parippu vada until it's golden brown. Drain excess oil on a tissue paper.
Step 6
Tasty hot parippu vada is ready to be served. Enjoy!!!
