Potato Wedges Recipe / Simple Homemade Snack / പൊട്ടെറ്റൊ വെഡ്ജസ് are always a favourite snack for kids and grown-ups. It is a simple, quick and tasty snack that can be prepared within 20 minutes. Try out this yummy and crispy tea time snack at home.

Potato is a starchy, tuberous crop which is best known for its carbohydrate content. Potatoes are packed with powerful nutrients and antioxidants. They are good source of vitamins C and B6, niacin, pantothenic acid, phosphorus and manganese. It helps in maintaining neurological health, heart health etc.

Ingredients

  • Potato - 2 nos (large)
  • Corn Flour - 2 tbsp
  • Maida - 1 tbsp
  • Pepper Powder - a pinch
  • Vegetable Oil - 1 cup
  • Water - 6 cup
  • Salt to taste

Method

Step 1

Clean and peel the potatoes and cut it into wedges.

Step 2

Heat 6 cups of water in a bowl. Add salt into it and boil for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Add the sliced potatoes into it and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 4

Drain the potatoes and keep it aside.

Step 5

Take a bowl and add corn flour, pepper powder, maida and mix it well with a spoon.

Step 6

Roll the drained potato pieces in the flour mix.

Step 7

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the potatoes till golden brown colour.

Step 8

Put the fried potatoes on a tissue paper.

Step 9

Tasty Potato Wedges are ready. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
