Ingredients
- All purpose flour - 1 1/2 cup
- Rice flour - 4 tbsp
- Ripe banana - 4 nos
- Jaggery - 5 tbsp
- Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
- Baking soda - a pinch
- Water - 1 cup
- Coconut oil - 2 cup
- Salt - a pinch
Method
Step 1
Heat 1 cup of water and jaggery in a pan and stir well till it melts. Strain the jaggery water using a strainer to remove the impurities.
Step 2
Take a bowl, add all purpose flour, rice flour, banana, melted jaggery, cardamom powder, baking soda, salt and make a thick batter.
Step 3
Heat coconut oil in a pan at a medium high flame.
Step 4
Take hand full of batter and pour it in hot oil in the shape of a tamarind. Deep fry till it turns brown color.
Step 5
Tasty pulivaral is ready. Serve hot.
