Crispy Honey Chilli Eggs – Delicious and Simple Side Dish Recipe
Crispy Honey Chilli Eggs is a sweet and spicy side dish. Batter fried boiled eggs are cooked in honey, Chilly Sauce and Soya Sauce. It is so yummy and simple side dish that can be prepared easily at your home. Try out this delicious egg recipe.
Eggs are among the most nutritious foods on the planet. Eggs are an excellent source of protein and contain all the daily vitamins and minerals that are needed to produce energy. The whites are rich sources of vitamin D, B6, B12 and minerals such as selenium, iron, zinc and copper.
- Eggs - 4 nos (boiled and quartered)
- Cornflour - 5 tbsp
- Ginger - 1 small piece (chopped)
- Garlic - 4-5 cloves (chopped)
- Spring Onions - 5 stalks (chopped)
- Dry Red Chilly - 3 nos
- Red Chilly Sauce - 2 tbsp
- Soya Sauce - 1/2 tsp
- Lemon Juice - 1 tbsp
- Capsicum - 1/2 piece
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Honey - 1 tbsp
- Vegetable Oil - 2 cups (for deep frying)
- Salt to taste
Heat vegetable oil in a pan.
Take a bowl and add two tablespoon of cornflour and three tablespoon of water and make a thick batter.
Sprinkle about two teaspoons of cornflour over the quartered eggs.
Dip the quartered egg pieces in the batter of cornflour and fry it in the oil till it turns golden brown. Cook on medium flame.
Once done, transfer the fried eggs to a paper tissue and keep it aside.
Now heat two tablespoon of oil in another pan and add dry red chilly. Saute for a minute.
Then add chopped ginger, capsicum and garlic into it. Saute for another minute.
Add the chopped spring onions, red chilly sauce, soya sauce, salt, honey and lemon juice into it. Mix well and saute for 4 minutes on medium flame.
Now add the fried egg pieces to it and mix well.
Add one tablespoon of cornflour batter and mix well. Cook for 3 minutes and then switch off the flame.
Once done, transfer the crispy honey chilly eggs to a serving plate and garnish with chopped spring onions.
Crispy Honey Chilly Eggs are ready to be served.
